Looking for a unique and hands-on summer experience for your teen? Throw Art Studio’s Teen Wheel Throwing Course is a 5-day immersive program designed for young artists to develop real pottery skills, create their own pieces, and explore the art of ceramics in a professional studio setting.

 

What Teens Will Experience

• Experience the Pottery Wheel – Learn centering, pulling walls, trimming, and finishing techniques over five days.

• Create & Keep Finished Pieces – Teens will throw multiple pieces and select their best work to be glazed and fired.

• Behind-the-Scenes Studio Access – Learn how kilns work, how pottery is fired, and the science behind glazes and clay chemistry.

• Small Class Size for Focused Learning – Limited to 8 students per session for hands-on instruction.

• Professional Studio Equipment – Students will work on high-quality pottery wheels and learn to use key studio tools.

 

Course Schedule & Details

• Dates: 5 day sessions running every other week from June to August

• Time: Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

• Location: Throw Art Studio, conveniently located next to a café for parents to grab lunch or work while their teen is in class

• Ages: 13-17
